Evaluating the effect of natural, industrial juices and beverage on orthodontic bonding composite (in-vitro study)

Background: Dental erosion is a common oral condition which results due to consumption of high caloric and low pH acidic food such as carbonated drinks fruit juices. It expected that these types can cause irreversible damage dental hard tissues early deterioration the restorations. So, this study aimed evaluate compare erosive potential effects orange juice Miranda drink on microhardness an orthodontic composite material. Materials methods: Thirty discs with thickness 2 mm diameter 10 were prepared from bonding composite. The equally divided into three groups (n=10). Microhardness analysis was carried out both prior subsequent immersion cycles. specimens underwent evaluation in beverages for durations 6 hours (equivalent one day) 42 seven days). measurements at baseline, day, week performed utilizing Vickers testing. Statistical analyses using repeated measure way ANOVA test Bonferroni post-hoc level significant p< 0.05. Results: micro hardness exposed selected soft significantly decreased (p< 0.05).
